Majorca, also known as Mallorca, is one of the bustling islands in the Mediterranean Sea, known for a host of attractions and with an amazing scope of activities for holiday visitors from around the world. As has been mentioned, one of the most popular attractions of Majorca Island is the set of caves that are almost surreal in looks and feel. Cuevas del Drach, or the Dragon Caves found in Porto Cristo are of lime stones and would create an unmatched aura by the legions of spikes that hang downwards from the ceilings, as though responding promptly to the call of gravity. The cave leads to the largest underground lake in Europe, Lake Martel, which you could visit as part of a guided tour.

In Majorca Island, the list of things to do could include many other caves that abound in the region – and one of them that you would want to visit would be the Caves of Campanet, located in Campanet, along the foothills of the world heritage site of Tramuntana Mountains. These are wide caves and are present at a depth of around 50 meters. The best way to explore the caves, again, would be the guided tours, which would take you through an array of small pools that lie within the caves. These caves are known for their rich calcareous deposits and have numerous chambers within.

There are other names such as Sa Calobra and the Torrent de pareis, Coves des Hams, Cap de Formentor, Caves d’Arta and a host of natural parks and reserves that would inevitably form part of things to do in Majorca Island.
